dr. lee pulos – stop smoking
I'm going to be when I grow up? Many of us sort of bumble along in life, go with the flow, no business plans or targets. Others have a clearly delineated path from an early age. There is no right or wrong way to do this. We must find the right balance between being totally led to us first, and without direction by the other.
In The Law of Attraction Abraham says that we will experience positive emotions when we recognize our growth and negative emotions when we feel stagnation. Many psychologists are now looking at the role of goals in its research and clinical work with clients.
I had the privilege of consulting and being trained by Dr. Lee Pulos, an expert on performance and motivation. In its on-line Lee's interview with Red Intuition tells of a study with patients in a nursing home. A group of patients was given the responsibility of the houseplant in your room, and the other group was told they do not relate to this, the personnel would be later. The group without the simple goal of caring for the plants died by the deadline of eighteen months, while the other group lived almost twice as long. So the message, Dr. Pulos says, is that we are stronger when we have a goal, a vision in our lives.
During my years of perimenopause I have a goal of action itself. The stillness was the place where he resided in Each woman has her own form of the transition through this stage of life. My path seemed to be about waiting, about the life of the day to day, moment by moment. I felt that something profound was happening inside me, I had no idea what it was. My levels of physical energy was low.
My Chinese medicine doctor told me my kidney energy was very low, and in Chinese medicine the rest from other systems in the renal system. He encouraged me to rest. I did that in spades. I think the track deep 're-wiring "is inside me that drove me Northrup speaks to a new sense of self. Perhaps it was coincidence that my physical energy was low, I needed silence to become the woman I was becoming.
Now, the goals and vision are a way of life for me. I feel a tremendous sense of possibility from the beginning of my trip to North Star Training with Dr. Martha Beck almost three years ago. Despite my daily challenges with my limiting beliefs, I am moving steadily in my life. I am giving my permission to know and act on my desires. My life is beginning to reflect my dreams and visions.
So try this: Get into the flow of work of breathing, dance or exercise. Then ask yourself: "What we long?" Listen carefully to the answers without control. Now that we have a starting point, your goal.
