cancer in lymph nodes and lung

When the cancer has reached the lymph nodes, how much time is left?

My father was in surgery this morning and he removed a mass of lung cancer. They told us that now have cancer in lymph nodes. We were told that there was a probability of 25% of that for 5 years. We're not sure how long it really is gone, and I was just curious if anyone else out there has a friend or family member with this same thing. Thanks for your understanding in advance.

I know the answer to that question. My brother in law was right and I was talking to him in his garage one day and everything was great. He seemed to be regaining his strength after a long stay in the hospital receiving chemotherapy. Then he went back into the hospital within 11 days was dead. Now I have a close friend who has only been 3-5 months. . . Like her father, she began in her lungs. . . Then she went into the lymph nodes. . .
